T20 World Cup: New Format Explained

Round 1: 20 Teams and 5 Groups

Total of 20 teams will compete in 5 groups: Group A to E

Round 2: Super 10

There will be two groups 1 & 2 in round 2. Two top teams from the 5 groups.

Round 3: Eliminators

Top team in each group confirms its spot in the Semifinals, whereas, second and third teams in both group will play in the eliminator.

Round 4: Semifinals

Winners of Eliminator 1 and 2 will play against number one teams of group stages.

Grand Finale

Winner of Semi 1 and Semi 2 will play in the final.
