The WPL 2027 retained and released players lists are out, with all five teams confirming their decisions on September 28, 2026. A total of 63 players have been retained, including 23 overseas players. Here is the full team-by-team list, along with the money each side has left for the auction.

The Women’s Premier League 2027 is scheduled from January 14 to February 7. Before that, teams will add to their squads at the player auction on October 28, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt in Kochi.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

Defending champions RCB have retained 13 players. Ellyse Perry has made herself available for the new season, while Grace Harris is among the four players released.

Retained players (13): Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Ellyse Perry, Shreyanka Patil, Lauren Bell, Radha Yadav, Arundhati Reddy, Pooja Vastrakar, Prema Rawat, Georgia Voll, Nadine de Klerk, Sayali Satghare, Prathyoosha Kumar.

Released players (4): Grace Harris, Linsey Smith, Gautami Naik, Dayalan Hemalatha.

Mumbai Indians (MI)

Mumbai have kept 11 players, including Harmanpreet Kaur and their established overseas all-rounders. G Kamalini and Saika Ishaque are among the six departures.

Retained players (11): Harmanpreet Kaur, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Hayley Matthews, Amelia Kerr, Amanjot Kaur, Nicola Carey, Rahila Firdous, Sajeevan Sajana, Sanskriti Gupta, Shabnim Ismail, Vaishnavi Sharma.

Released players (6): G Kamalini, Saika Ishaque, Milly Illingworth, Nalla Reddy, Poonam Khemnar, Triveni Vasistha.

Delhi Capitals (DC)

Delhi have retained 13 players, keeping Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Marizanne Kapp and Annabel Sutherland together. Lizelle Lee and Alana King are among those released.

Released players (6): Lizelle Lee, Alana King, Taniyaa Bhatia, Sneh Rana, Pragati Singh, Eddla Srujana.

Gujarat Giants (GG)

Gujarat have kept 15 players, the most of any team. Ashleigh Gardner and Beth Mooney remain with the franchise, while Danielle Wyatt-Hodge has been released.

Retained players (15): Ashleigh Gardner, Beth Mooney, Sophie Devine, Georgia Wareham, Kim Garth, Anushka Sharma, Bharti Fulmali, Happy Kumari, Jintimani Kalita, Kanika Ahuja, Kashvee Gautam, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Renuka Singh, Tanuja Kanwer, Yastika Bhatia.

Released players (4): Danielle Wyatt-Hodge, Ayushi Soni, Titas Sadhu, Shivani Singh.

UP Warriorz (UPW)

UP Warriorz have retained 11 players and released nine, the largest release list among the five teams. They also have the biggest remaining auction budget.

Retained players (11): Deepti Sharma, Meg Lanning, Sophie Ecclestone, Phoebe Litchfield, Harleen Deol, Kranti Gaud, Pratika Rawal, Shikha Pandey, Shipra Giri, Simran Shaikh, Tara Norris.

Released players (9): Deandra Dottin, Kiran Navgire, Asha Sobhana, Shweta Sehrawat, Amy Jones, Chloe Tryon, Charli Knott, G Trisha, Suman Meena.

WPL 2027 auction purse and available slots

The auction purse is the money a team still has available to spend on players. UP Warriorz lead this list with ₹3.65 crore, while Mumbai Indians have ₹1 crore remaining.
