Sher-e-Punjab T20 League 2026 Dates
The tournament will be played from August 30 to September 13, 2026, at the I.S. Bindra Punjab Cricket Association Stadium. Six franchise teams will participate in the competition.
Several prominent Punjab cricketers are expected to be available for the league, including Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Arshdeep Singh, Prabhsimran Singh, Gurnoor Brar, Naman Dhir, Ramandeep Singh, Nehal Wadhera and Rahul Sharma. However, their final participation and respective teams will only be confirmed following the player auction.

The auction date, complete team names, squads and match schedule have not yet been announced. PCA is expected to reveal these details closer to the tournament.
The new franchise model could help the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League compete with successful Indian domestic competitions such as the Tamil Nadu Premier League and Delhi Premier League. It could also provide young Punjab players with an opportunity to perform alongside Indian and IPL cricketers while attracting the attention of domestic selectors and professional franchises.

The Sher-e-Punjab T20 League 2026 is expected to feature some of the biggest names produced by Punjab cricket. According to a Punjab Cricket Association announcement, Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma and Arshdeep Singh will enter the tournament as marquee players.
